Molluscum contagiosum is a skin infection that causes small pimples like lesions. This infection is caused by a virus. The virus is easily spread but is not harmful.

Many patients that complained to about this virus have acquired them from school swimming pool, also the usual known direct skin-to-skin contact or sharing towels and gymnasium equipment’s.

In this video you will see doctor treating a boy on his left shoulder. He has been complaining about this virus for a few months and were increasing in number without any improvement on local creams. His parents were concerned they would spread more. Doctor applied anesthesia cream to the area to numb it then uses electrofulguration to destroy the lesions so easily.

The patient did not have to come again for any further treatments as they were completely eliminated.
